Isaac Maruyama

Hi, I'm Isaac 👋🏻

I am a pre-doctoral researcher at Policy Impacts , where I study the impact of policies designed to reduce global poverty.

I am also currently researching the impact of U.S. gun laws on firearm violence in Latin America, and I wrote my undergraduate thesis on the ineffectiveness of congressional oversight regarding U.S. foreign arms sales.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing and writing music. (Check out some of my content here !) I also like to run, climb, cross-country ski, read, and watch movies.
